Currently, CMC is operating two micro mills supplied by Danieli. The first, commissioned in Mesa, Arizona, in 2009, and in Durant, Oklahoma, since spring of 2018. Danieli micro mill technology is a continuous casting and rolling process with a single uninterrupted billet .
Billets are produced through Induction Furnace, Ladle Refining Furnace and Continuous Casting Machine route. Raw materials of billet production are mild steel scrap, ferroalloys, directreduced iron, carburizers, decarburizers and fluxes additives. Bars are produced in fully automated ReRolling Mills.
